Canopus JD-1 JogDisk

Does anyone have any experience with this Jog Shuttle from Canopus? Do you know if it's compatible with VEGAS? On their site they only talk about EDIUS & PREMIERE. It lists for $250 but I can get a used one for $100. I'm frugal... I want to make sure it will work, then it would be a bargain. I wrote to Canopus Cust. Support but have not yet recieved a response.

Thanks in Advance,
Lamont

The ShuttlePro should be around the same price in the US and it sure works with VV, it's even described in the manual.

As all it does is simulate keypresses and so long as the Canopus one can do the same thing and you can configure it so any button can ceate any keypress then I cannot see why you shouldn't be able to make it work.

One problem I have with the ShuttlePro is if focus is moved from the timeline then it no longer controls the time line. If your not careful you can endup changing track opacity with it or whatever. This is a bit of a pain, having to remember to be careful with it. I'd hope the key assignments could be changed so they are unique to the timeline sometime in the future.

Hiyah farss! I'ev been using the CSP - on and off focus - haven't go the opacity thing. Well not that I've noticed. Have you got a setting within the CSP to change Opacity? I aint no CSP key setter, you may know much more than I.

I love the CSP and I would be much slower without it. Hey, do have some key-sets that I can programme the thing? I've got the V4 plain vanilla settings. Work very well.

Just read your Boris crashing post . . Just got BGraf3 . . . I'm listening . . .
