Canpous ADVC 110

I have been using Vegas 6.0 for a few years now but have never converted any analog video over to digital for editing. I am thinking of buying the Canopus ADVC 110 to convert some VHS tapes, edit them and burn them to DVDs.

Does anyone have any good or bad comments regarding the Canpous ADVC 110 and how best to use it with Vegas 6?

Also, (pardon my ignorance) but what format does the file end up as on your pc after you passed the analog video through the Canopus equipment?

The AVI file ends up on your PC just the same as if you'd captured from DV.
If you've got the money the ADVC 300 has some extra goodies that maybe of help capturing VHS. Also don't overlook using a D8 camera or deck.
