Cant export to 10bit HDR files

I am trying to edit an 10bit HDR video and export it but with all things i tried the rendered video comes out as 8bit. I use a 4k HDR capture card which captures HEVC 10bit HDR files. I load an 32bit full range project in Vegas and import the file. I start to edit it and when done i use the HEVC HDR10 template to render the file. In the settings of the template its set to rec2020 1000nits and pixel is also set to 10bit. The rendered file comes out as 8bit, washed out and youtube does not reconize it as HDR. Its really 8bit when checked with media info app. The source file is really 420 10bit bt2020. What is it i am doing wrong? Or is the program broken?

I will have a look into that. Some more questions to be able to try to repro that:

- what type of footage do you use? log or HLG or PQ footage from what camera? Please post us more Information About the footage.

- have you adjusted the Settings for every Event to rec2020 - what Settings have you taken here?

- you write that you use a 32bit Floating Point full range project. Do you also use an ACES1 workflow in the project Settings? Please post us your project Settings.

- have you adapted something in the render template, or is it unchanged?

My test shows that I get the 10bit HEVC file from the HEVC Encoder.
