I like it, mainly because of the ability to do a quick index of a tape. I can then go back and select the scenes to be captured - it saves cluttering up the disk with even more stuff I'm not going to use.

I use scenalyzer, and never had any problems capturing and outputing back to tape. At the end of the day the software was written to do one thing and one thing only, and in my opinion it does it well.
