Question has been asked <and answered> hundreds of times already. DO a search on "VHS capture" and you will get lots of ideas.

Bottom line is... you don't need a capture "card" just some way to convert your VHS tape into a DV Firewire "format" that you can then capture as DV AVI and edit as normal in Vegas.

Is that polite enough?

Also the VCR will probley make a bigger impact on image quality then the capture card, along with a million other things.

Ken, if you have your heart set on a card, look at the Canopus ADVC 1394. It has analog inputs, OHCI card, 1394 inputs, so you'll be set. You might already have a camcorder that can be used for passthru to achieve this too.
