Capture drom HC1 in DV Mode

When i connect the camcorder in DV mode, Vegas does not recognize the camera. HD capture is fine with COnnect HD. How do i get Vegas to Recognize the camcorder?

In DV mode are you using the "external" capture application? You know it is the external one for DV and internal for HDV, right?
If you are switching back and forth between DV and HDV Sony recommends disconnecting and reconnecting the ilink cable.
