Alright, so I know I screwed up by buying a Handcam DCR-DVD300, but I assumed (yes, I know what that means too) that if I bought the Vegas 7.0 software that I could actually edit the 10 DVD's I have already shot of my family (including two kids' births).
Now the stinkin' Vegas software doesn't even recognize my Handycam... THANKS FOR NOTHING SONY!!!... and my computer won't read the discs when I try to import DVD in capture mode.
Am I hosed? Do I need the OHCI-compliant IEEE-1394 DV card for my computer?
I used to be able to at least capture my DVD's using the lame ImageMixer software that came with the camera, but the audio would get off. Bummer.
What should I do?
Thanks!
