I have a system running xp pro sp2 (I read the thread on a potential problem with SP2 but MS says that sp2 does not cause the problem). I have 2 gigs of ram. 6 hard drives and I capture to a different hard drive than what I run the program from. I also have an Athlon 64 3200+ processor.
The problem:
Under 5.0d, I could capture without any problems, Vegas 6.0b, when I capture, the video is jerky on the preview display and the sound cuts out. I can make the preview window small or large and no change. Am I missing something simple? I tried 3 different cameras and all three did the same thing. The captured video and sound is fine, it is just during the capture. It is like there is a lag in what is shown and put through the speakers and it has to catch up every second.
