capture issues wi/v6c

I am a new user to Vegas. Can someone please tell me why it does not recognize my canon gl2 when I try to capture? My ULead media studio pro sees it without a problem. But vegas just says device not available.

Are you using the EXTERNAL capture program which handles SD cameras like the GL2?

I using the default one that comes with Vegas 6.0c

Is there another external one?

A pop up menu comes up when you hit capture to either select the internal or external software.

Yup. I checked the box and left the sonyvidcap.exe app in the box and now it works. Somewhat quirky, but I 'll take it
