Capture multiple simultaneous camcorders

Is there a way to capture multiple camcorders (sending over FireWire) at the same time to Vegas or are there other softwares that can do this?

It is not a question of *selecting* a channel to capture, but to capture *all* channels at the same time to PC hard disk.

I've found this but don't know if that will help in this:

Also found this article of a software;

Can it be as easy as starting several instances of Vegas and just get each one of the instances to address various camcorders?

Will that work? Anyone that have tried?

DId not work! Tried it - The Capture program in Vegas can only exist as single instance - while Vegas itself can run several...

You can open multiple instances of "Scenalyzer" and capture multiple camera streams.

Search this forum for the two words, "scenalyzer instance"

I know that more than one user has posted here about using Scenalyzer to capture multiple streams simultaneously.
Here's the thread explaining it.
