Capture now-upgrade later?

I am getting ready to capture about 10 hours of DV footage that I want to whittle down to around an hour. I do not have V6 yet.

If I capture with V5 will I be able to use the V6 media manager features after the fact, or do I need it during the capture? I usually capture whole tapes at once. I am capturing to a Maxtor one-touch II ext. FW drive.

Would it be best to upgrade now before I capture?

You can use it before or after the fact, Jeff. You can add tags, thumbnails, keywords, whatever you want....anytime you want, in the Media Manager.
