capture problem

I have an AMD 2600 with 2G Ram and am capturing on a Canopus 110 capture unit. I just moved over to this computer from a Pentium 4 /2.6. I was capturing okay on the "D" drive on the Pentium, but was having a problem capturing to a new 320 HD, so I thought I would move over to the faster AMD, and so, I put in another 320 Hd as the "D" drive in the AMD to use in capture. IT is freezing up when I click "Capture" but it still captures the clip I want. Any siggestions as to what I'm doing wrong on this one?
Thanks
John

I think thre is a computer problem.... The preview locks up when I put it in capture moden and i have to go to Crl/ Alt/ Delete to come out of the program and stop capture. has anyone ever had this problem before? I still get the capture, but I have to stop the program and exit the program and then come back up for the captured clip to show up in the Media Bin where the clips are saved.
I think I need to uninstall and re-install the program. What do you think is the problem?
Thanks

Well, the re-install didn't help.... It is still locking up when i click the capture button and i don't hear anything on the playback speakers. Before I click on the capture button the audio is coming through, but it stops when the program seemingly locks up. I still get the captured clip, but it locks up. What a deal. My other one plays both video and audio when I capture.
Any suggestions out there?
Thanks
John

I tried to contact Sony... They are virtually no help.. They asked me twice what kind of camera I was using when I had already told them that I could capture fine on my other computer....and had told them the camera... and what was happening... do they realy read the questions? I could sure use a hint from somebody out there.
