Hallo everybody!

i want to start we an excuse for my bad english, i'm from Sweden. You know this small country in northern Europe.

I just bought Sony Vegas Studio Movie Platinum. I have tried it before so I know a little bit about it.
I'm going to do a little vaccation film from last year on cyprus but I can't capture my tapes. I have 3 tapes brand TDK. I'm using a small dv camera Panasonic NV DS65. When I try to capture it works but when it's finished the program only made 1 big file????
This is a very weird problem an I can't understand it. I have tried so many different things but can solve the problem of my own.

So i really would apreciate (I don't know how to spell it) somebody to help me. i have tried other DV tapes with film on and they works perfect but not this 3 tapes with the cyprus movie.

Please help me i don't know what to do and I'm going to show the movie for 50 perosns th 20 of April.

/Johan, from Sweden

You need to tell Vegas on its settings to detect scenes.

File, Capture, and on the Video Capture 6.0 window select Options and then Preferences. Go to the Capture tab and check the first option in the list called "Enable DV scene detection".

I don't believe it's a tape problem, but maybe you changed some options in your camcorder? In any way, buy a different brand of tapes if that's a problem. If vegas has this checked, there is nothing more you can do in Vegas, but you might be able to fix the problem in your camcorder's settings or getting a new tape.

If by any chance you don't have the clock set in your camcorder or it's little watch battery went dead then the time/date code won't be written on the tape. Vegas' VidCap uses this code for scene detection.
