Is this a new problem, or has it never worked?

Did you search on Microsoft site for issues with W2K and 1394 cameras?

Yeah - got this problem sorted actually - it turns out that the lates DirectX (8.1) was uninstalled at some stage on my machine and I never reinstalled it - This did the trick with regards to capturing the camera - but now I find that its dropping frames all over the place

My machine is not slow - Dual Processor 400mhz - 720 Ram - 64MB Graphics card - Firewire - SCSI - 3 seperate discs all defragged regularly - any ideas where I go with this problem?

if by any chance you read this tread iamdbat - i have a trv 130e that wont playback any footage that was recorded on this cam - wont even playback on the LCD.

One of the kids was playing with it and now no matter what i do, all 5 tapes dont playback - they arent erased as the save tab was set

any clues?
