Capture problems

I am having problems capturing video using a new Sony Handycam DCR-HC32. I cannot see anything with the ilink cable in the preview mode of the moview studio capture screen. If I use an av cable connected to a dazzle card I am able to capture but no preview in the preview window and cannot use the controls on movie studio to control the camera. Any ideas or suggestions??

I have been using a Sony DCR-TRV20 and the capture worked great with Movie Studio.

Hi Brenda:

I am not at my home computer right now, so I am doing this from memory. I believe there is an option in the General Preferences in the Capture Program to allow you to Enable the DV Device Control (or something like that). If it is not checked, then I am unable to control my mini-DV camcorder, the control buttons are greyed out. Once I check that option to enable it, then I can the controls become active again.

Not sure why you are not getting anything on the preview window though.
