I am using Vegas 4.0d on a Fujitsu C2000 Lifebook. The specs are Mobile Pentium 4 2 Ghz processor, 512 megs ram, and 35 gig partioned hard drive for video storage.
Whenever I capture after 20 or 30 seconds the video picture freezes, I lose device control of my Sony DSR-11 dvcam deck and get a notice that video capture is not responding and I then have to reboot.
I have disabled the McAffee anti-virus software and all programs running in the background.
I have gone into device manager and checked for IRQ conflicts. I see that the NEC OHCI Host Controller, the Radeon IGP 340 M and the Sigma Tel C-Major Audio are all on PCI 11.
One weird thing is that print to tape from the Vegas timeline works fine.
Also capturing with Windows Movie Maker works fine.
I'm doing an editing job away from my home studio and need to get this working properly.
Anybody have any idea what is causing my capture problems?
Thanks in advance,
Charles Dennis
