Capture Question

I captured a 7 minute clip with several camera cuts. Marked an in point at the begining and an out point at the end.
Scene detector was checked but it still was captured as one whole clip. How come it was not chopped up in the different camera cuts.
Using Canon GL1

When you use Advanced Capture and define the in/out points, the scene detection is not active. It would be nice to have the option of both at the same time.

Does scene detection apply only to capture entire tape?

Scene detection, when enabled, will apply to any capture except when you input your own IN and OUT points under Advanced.
