Capture Settings for D8

I know nothing about Digital 8 and have a friends Sony TRV130E whichy is a PAL Digital 8 cam.

I want to capture, edit and make into a DVD.

What setting do i set on the new project to match the capture source?

Just select project properties as PAL DV, same in the capture window.
For all intents D8 is no different to DV, same res, same everything, only the tape is 8mm wide instead of 6mm.
