Capture to 1 file instead of to multiple clips in Vegas Video 3.0a

I want to capture a selection from the tape, without having it broken down into clips. I would like to position the tape, then start a capture and have it all go to one file until I hit stop. Right now, when I do this, everything is broken up into clips, tons of .avi files. I want just one ....

From Vegas's main menu, select File->Capture Video. The Capture dialog opens.
From the Capture Dialog, select Options->Preferences. The Preferences properties dialog opens.
Click the Capture tab and then clear the Enable DV Scene Detection option.

You'll now capture one big AVI. Just pre-position your tape, using the camera's onboard controls or by using the Capture application's remote controls, and then click the Capture button. Click the Stop button when you've captured enough.
