Capture uses 100% CPU

Ok, more like aroud 80%, but it means that frames are dropping like crazy, and so it's completely unusable. This is the first time I've used Capture since installing 5.0b. It uses 80% CPU even when it is not doing anything.

I went back to Vegas 4, and things worked fine.

Any ideas what could be wrong? I'm using a non-admin account on XPSP1.

I'm not seeing this- I'm maxing out at ~35%.

Are you capturing DV?

What is the capture video preview size?

What is the video accelerator set to? What hardware are you using? CPU info? Other processes running that might interfere?

Ok, I figured it out. It was because the Clip Explorer view was in thumbnail mode (and there are a lot of already captured clips). When I switch it to details, CPU usage drops back to 0 for vidcap50.
