Capture Video

Can someone tell me how video is captured. I go into PROJECT select CAPTURE VIDEO then select HDV. The handycam utilities screen appears with the camera details. I select IMPORT and the video is saved into PMB which I cannot transfer across for editing etc

My camera is the latest Sony HDR-SR12E but I am using Vista 64 as my OS and am told that this is unsupported. This may be the problem? The software packaging says that the minimum requirement is "Windows XP SP2 or Windows Vista". It does not specify which Vista. I have asked support for an explanation and help.

Have heard back from Sony on this issue. They do not support Vista 64 which is my OS and so unable to resolve problem. I have purchased a package that clearly states that it can be used in Vista but it does not state which Vista level. Totally misled on this one.

I use Vista64 and it works fine with my HDV camera. You just don't want to sit and read the tutorial and you get the easy way out.
