Capture video from Internet

Good morning folks,

Can one of you people kindly tell me if there is a way to capture video from the Internet directly from Vegas Movie Studio 10? My friend had an interview on TV which is now on the local Fox station website and I want to capture it and burn it to a DVD for him. I normally use a program called "KeepVid" for this, but for some reason it doesn't recognize this particular segment as a video.

Appreciate any help any of you might have,

Well, it of course depends on what format the video is in on the web page.

You can't capture directly into Vegas Movie Studio -- but you can import it into a project. I can't promise real high quality from an internet file (which is usually highly compressed and reduced resolution), but you'll probably be able to do something with it.

If you're using FireFox as your web browser, you'll find a lot of tools for downloaded videos at the Mozilla Marketplace.
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/

Do a search there on "download from Web" and you'll get lots of options.

Again, which you use depends on what format your video is on the web site.

Used to use 'KeepVid', now use IE Download Helper. Works on most everything. Let us know. Cin
