Nasty!

I really don't know what all the errors mean. I'm sure people with "far" greater experience will "chip" in. However, I can see that the "Sonic Foundry Video Capture 3.0 Version 3.0 (Build 63)" is in the openning lines. Maybe someone can confirm this is the up to date version. What versions and build number of VF are you using? Have you had any success with the Dazzle? I've got a Hollywood Dazzle Bridge and it works fine.

Pease keep us informed as to what success you are having.

Grazie

dtjsanderson, I've often found, as Grazie mentions in another thread, some error messages can be quite misleading sometimes. I tend to just ignore what they say (generally) and troubleshoot every which way. It saves time. I'm guessing - as I don't know what the Dazzle Creation Studio does, are you using it to capture analogue?

Darren,

Looking at the specs for that Dazzle device, it looks like it only captures into MPEG-2 format. Our Video Capture utility only captures into AVI format, therefore it will probably not work with this device. Also, the majority of USB based capture devices do not work properly with Video Capture.

You would be best off capturing video with whatever utility was included with the device, then importing the captured files into VideoFactory. Of course, MPEG is not a good source format for editing, so you will probably not achieve the best results.

Thanks,
Brian

Yes, Brian. My Dazzle captures plain vanilla DV-AVI, and I'm using PAL.

Just thought I'd add this.

The Dazzle Hollywood DV-Bridge captures to DV-AVI; the DVD Creation Station captures to MPEG-2.
