Captured audio at 32kHz, not 48kHz??

Anyone,

I have a Sony TRV-38 camcorder. The specs say that it records audio at 48kHz stereo. When I capture any video using Screenblast version 3, the Properties consistently report that the captured audio is 32,000 Hz, 16-bit stereo.

Why isn't it capturing at 48kHz? Is there something I need to do to make that happen?

On my camera, I can choose the option of 32 or 48. Do you have this option on your camera?

That is absolutely correct. I've just now discovered that the default operation of the camera is 32kHz, not 48kHz.
