Using Vegas 8 pro and have a Sony FX1 HD camera. Have some older video shot with an early 720p 30fps HD camera, which I no longer have access to. When the original tape is played in the FX1, it plays on the LCD screen and shows that it's an 720p tape. But when I try to import it into Vegas (with the properties of the new file set for the HDV 720p 30,) , it will not record The record, play and stop controls in the "capture" software do control the camera but the preview display remains blue and nothing is being captured.

Is this a problem with the camera not outputing the 720p to the software? Or what?? I've tried capturing with Roxio Creator 10 with similar result and HDV split does not even recognize the camera.
