Video was edited in Adobe Premiere. I exported it to miniDV then went to another computer to import it into Vegas Video Capture. Why would this create errors? There seems to be some sort of format conflict.
It seems to be something to do with the drivers or the format... She got the beginning of some of the clips, but not all of them. We are at a loss. As I understand dv, it shouldn't really matter where it was coming from since it is encoded in the DV codec. The error message wasn't very helpful: "Undetermined Error".
Is she trying to capture with Firewire? Does her OS recognize the firewire card and camera? Have you tried changing the Firewire cable? Is the camera in the "play" position? Is DMA enabled on her hard drive?
You haven't really given us much to go on.
You can connect both computer together with 1394 (it is a network too) and transfer the file directly to her computer. No need to go through a tape unless her computer is in a different location.
