Capturing Nightmare......

I recently purchased a dvd burner and finally decided to move my old family movies from HI-8 to dvd and I have encountered a huge problem unlike moving my favourite PINK FLOYD Concert on VHS to DVD.

Capturing the VHS -> DVD I captured the whole thing into one big avi (worked like a charm)
Capturing the HI-8 -> DVD I captured close to 900 individual avi files making my editing a nightmare and all of different sizes

My initial conclusion to the problem was that I may have knocked off the default settings that I previously had used, but that was not the case. So I am stumped.
I don't know if Vegas automaically detects a sudden change in the video decides to make a new video file it really bagffles me.

Any suggestion or workarounds would be grateful for.

Cheers Toshkin!!!

Turn OFF "Enable Scene Detection" and you should get one large file. (Scene detection doesn't work from VHS sources-thus the reason you got one big file with VHS)
