Capturing only 50% of resolution

What am i doing wrong? When i try to preview captured footage in Windows Media PLayer at 100% it plays at half the resolution. When i try to zooom in to have it play at 720x480 it looks bad.

Depending on which version of MediaPlayer you have the menu names might be slightly different, but ...

Tools / Options / Performance / Advanced / Digital Video : move the slider all the way to the right, to "Large"
