Capturing problem w/XP...stops after 1 second

I am using Vegas Video 3.0 to capture my footage onto a 2.4 GHZ Pentium w/512 KB ram and 120 GB hard drive from a Sony TRV120 into a Pinnacle DV200 card.

Yesterday I was capturing fine, then all of the sudden VV would only capture the first two seconds, then stop and popped up with the capture info box, saying 0 frames were captured. I had a problem with XP losing the drivers for the camcorder but fixed that too. I am not sure what is the problem. Premiere 6.0 won't capture either, but Windows MovieMaker will, but that program is less efficient.

Any help is greatly appreciated...the forums here at Sonic Foundry are wonderful. Thanks

The fact that Premi*ere doesn't capture either makes it sound like the DV driver got blown away- maybe by a C-drive defrag or an XP service pack update (?). If you have updated XP, please roll back or do a repair install- I bet the driver resurfaces.
