Capturing scan from VV...adjust file name?

Sr_C wrote on 3/25/2003, 8:58 PM
I am wanting to scan in about 200 photos into VV3. It all works fine except the image file name defaults to Image0.jpg and then the next would be image1.jpg and so on. Can I change it so that the numbering defaults to three digits, such as Image000.jpg, Image001.jpg etc... So it makes it easier for loading in the sequence. Thanks, -Shon

I think RenameWiz could do this:

"Whats New in RenameWiz 3.4.2

1. Added leading zero support in numbering commands

2. Added the ability to remove any number of characters starting at any position.

3. Added the ability to add a prefix starting at any position.
Note. This feature starts counting from left to right.

4. Added the ability to Add a Suffix starting at any position.
Note. This feature starts counting from right to left.

5. Added the ability to start searching from any position.
Note. You can rename first or all occurrences after start position.
This feature starts counting from left to right.

6. Change file attributes in multiple folders.

7. Set file Attributes without resetting current attributes.

8. Save "Rename History" screen to a text file.

9. Print "Rename History" screen.

I've only been using VV for two days and I've already noticed the need for a file naming template for scanned files (and automatic sub-files created if breaking up the scanned file). Something like "bobwedding_%n_%d" where %n would be file number and %d would be date stamp (along with other options %t for time stamp and some other things I can't think of right now). This would allow you to create whatever file name structures you wanted.
