Capturing Video

I am a newcomer to Vegas Movie Studio and just learning movie making. When I open "capture video", my webcam comes on the screen and mades a very loud noise.

That could be feedback, I guess. Depends on the noise.

Are you trying to capture from your webcam or do you have a miniDV camcorder attached via FireWire?
