I was just looking at mine the other day and checking the web site. My version and dongle was made for my FAST VM/Plus system. they told me a year or so ago I could exchange my dongle for one to use with Vegas and in USB I think but not sure. anyway, I don't remember if it was to work inside Vegas or stand alone. I THINK I remember stand alone because I would export the files for my old VM/Plus system and I suspect Vegas was the same. But I never got my dongle converted. I would be interested in the answer though. I had used Alpha CG also back then. Cayman did give smooth credit rolls though.

Just like Gary I used Power CG Plus with my FAST VM/Plus system and also in Vegas successfully. I also stopped using it because I couldn't use the dongle anymore ('cause my pc didn't have a parallel port anymore).
I didn't know there's a usb solution which is actually very good news. I've always been very satisfied with the results of the program and also about the good service from Cayman. I'll contact them tonight and will keep you informed.

Great for titles as I recall also for scrolling credits.

I contacted them a long time ago about trying to convert or upgrade to a vegas version, but never heard back. Last time I checked the web site vegas was listed.
I liked the program with VM/Plus. I still have the dongle, but almost threw it away many times.

I think I may still have the old e-mail from them on it but will have to check when I get home. Just don't remember what Jeff said. I know he told me he could do that or just send me a new dongle and pay for it. Will have to check. I miss my FAST VM days. How you been Lynn?

I received an answer from Cayman about the usb dongle.
There used to be a usb dongle but because the manufacturer has discontinued them they had to switch to another dongle. Unfortunately that dongle doesn't work with Power CG Plus.
The solution would be to add a LPT card and update the latest HASP 4 drivers.
I bought a Sweex LPT card (PCI Express) but this card didn't work with the dongle. Somewhere in the manual is mentioned that not all dongles work with this card... I think it's best to use a PCI (not PCI Express) card which doesn't need extra drivers. Does anyone know a LPT-card which works with the dongle?

I used it with Fast VM and then, have been using it with 4,5,6, 8 and now V9. It is an excellent titler. Shame it does not support Vegas any more.
