All,
I just purchased a Yamaha 16/10/40X SCSI burner and hoped that it
works with CDA. After messing around with the MMC3 settings, I was able
to get CDA to recognize and use the drive. I can't choose the burn speed,
so it burns at max, but it still works.
Here is what I did:
From the CD-R config menu, I chose SCSI MMC as my drive type,
and then went through the SCSI device lists. Eventually, I came across
one of them that listed my drive. I chose it and then tried to burn.
It worked.
I cannot guarantee that this fix with work with the IDE version (Even
if you choose the MMC ATAPI setting) or any other burner, but it works
with the one I have got.
One thing that I wish I could understand.... Software companies should
be making software that the consumers want. I don't see a day where
someone from this post doesn't ask for an updated version. Shouldn't
Sonic Foundry take a hint and develop a newer version of the software
for all of us to enjoy. Even if they slap on a $200.00 price tag to it,
I'd still buy a copy.
I played with other software programs that let you edit the PQ, but they
just don't add up...
That's my rant for the pre-4th of July holiday!!
