CD Architect wont Record?

I'm having a problem, after creating a 60 minute wav file, and using
CD Architect to cut
it up into 16 tracks, it refuses to record (nor would it record as a
single track). I know my
CDR works, and when i select it, it seems to see it there, and i CAN
grab audio tracks off the
CDR, but when i try to record it never attempts to write to the disk,
and eventually errors out
saying no disk in drive (although by watching the lights it never
tried to access the drive!) the
soundfactory CDR simulator works fine of course.. :(

any clues?

To make a long story short, I have the same problems, and
haven't resolved them. CD Architect ID's my drive just fine
(Panasonic 7502 internal; Advansys SCSI 1/2 card) and can
read from and perform DAE fine from the drive. When I
insert a CDR and attempt a burn, the drive is never active
AT ALL, and I am told to insert a CD-recordable disk(The
drive burns fine in other apps like CD Creator). After a 30
sec or so pause, CD Architect tells me there's no disk in
the drive. :(
I'm out of ideas, and low on patience at this point.

I recently had a problem with my burner that sounds very similar to this
one. I have an HP 7200i. My first attempt to use it yelded many
problems, including "bad media" errors, system crashes, and other fun
stuff. I checked out the HP website's support page, and found my
answer.

All I had to do was go into the Contro Panel for the "Hardware Device"
section under System, and uncheck the "DMA" option. After I did that,
she's "like buttah!"
