Is it possible to author cd's using Vegas video? If yes, please provide "how to" steps. I effectively edited songs in vegas, but the resulting CD that I burned had all of the songs in a single file.
Take each song and place it on the timeline as an event. Put a little under two seconds between each song event on the timeline. Go to the tools menu and choose layout Audio CD from events. Then go to burn CD and choose disc at once.
Or, if you don't want to split the file up, press N wherever you want a track, starting with the beginning of the first song, of course.
Vegas lets you create gapless tracks so that you can have continuous play without 2 seconds silence inbetween if you wish. Basically set up the timeline so it sounds the way you want, then use N to specify where each track should start.
First create a song per project then create another blank project for the CD master.
If you name the projects 01-... 02-..., etc. then you can select the multiple .veg files in the Explorer window and right-click-drag them to the time line. A menu will pop up and click on "Add Across Time".
Next go to Tools->Layout Audio CD from Events and the CD regions will be created for you and you are ready to burn.
Hint: You can specify the time between tracks, including zero, in the Preferences, Editing tab. The required initial 2 seconds is always provided.
Hint 2: Pad the end of your song with silence and use zero seconds between tracks. That way when someone rips the track there is the pause you picked before the next track.
