i've noticed cd architect 5 renders image files at 44.1k/16bit. i have a 48k/24bit file that i'd like to keep that way for dvd audio. i used cd architect for it's easy crossfades. does anyone know a way around this. i've recently purchased vegas 4 which does this but the original edits were quit complicated. i'm trying to prevent redoing them. i've tried to open cd architect 5 .cdp files in vegas 4, but i get an invalid file type error.

The Redbook CD standard is 44.1/16 bit. If CDA burned at anything other than this, it would be incompatible with the CD players of the world.

i know the redbook standard is 44.1/16. i just made the mistake of using cd architect 5 as an editor thinking i could create a new wave file with same resolution if i removed the dither plug-in. i didn't realize cd architect 5 would render it to 44.1/16 anyway.

the crux of my post is this:
1. is there a workaround that anyone knows of to retain the sample/bit rate of 48k/24bit in an image made by cd architect 5?
2. is there a way to import a cd architect 5 project into vegas 4 (tried, get incompatible file error)?
3. am i hosed & will have to deal with starting this project from scratch in vegas 4?
