In the meantime, I installed a brand new Teac R56S writer
just to make shure, that I have not a hardware problem. Same
result. I testet then with a TDK CD-R Studio, Same result.
I also crosschecked again with Feurio, Nero and WinOnCD, no
problem for these programs

Up until now, SF support could not help me. Maybe somebody
else here had the same problem and knows a solution.

Hello Gerhard,
You are not the only one with this problem. We spent a lot of time to
resolve it but without any solution. We tried TEAC 55s, 56s Traxdata
4120 and Yamaha 4416. We used Symbios 810 and Tekram 390 Controllers.
We installed CDA as the only application on a freshly installed
Windows. Nothing to do!
Obviously the SF-Support is also out of ideas.

It's the Symbios Logic scsi cards (hardware AND drivers). DO NOT BUY
THEM IF YOU INTEND TO CONNECT A SCSI CD-R!!!!

Problem: No media will be detected

I had a SC-875UW and the problem went away when I bought a new
adaptec 2940UW

Symlogic needs a wakeup call on this major error.
