CD text and CD copies

I am experiencing a weird problem.

When I make a "master" from CDA, ver 5.2 I can see the CD text.

When I use my duplicator tower (Sony player, Pioneer 110D Drives 16X DVD±R) and make just one copy - some of the copies have CD text and some do not . It's about a 60% failure. The tracks and times seem to be correct, just the CD-Text sometimes copies and some times does not. I was using 16X speed and on at least one CD I lowered it to 4X and 1X and it did not copy the CD-text.

Any suggestions to where the problem might be???

Has to be your tower.

Presumably the drives are all identical - do they have identical firmware versions ? CD-TEXT capability could have been tweaked/implemented/fixed in a firmware update, firmware on the individual drives, that is ....

Well I am now using just my computer to make copies (from one drive to another drive) and there are no errors and the CD text is copying....

Must be something with the duplicating tower.... James

all the drives had identical firmware versions Pioneer 1.22. I updated to ver 1.41 and now it copying the CD-text info!
