CDA not refreshing FX

Howdy, i just got Waves Restoration bundle and CDA is not 'seeing' them when i use the FX REFRESH command in the Plugins Window (?). It see's my other Waves Plugs (Gold) that have been in the PC awhile, but not the new ones. ALL my other DAW's (VST, Cool Edit 2, Sonar) see them (Waves Rest.) fine but NOT CDA5 ??? Any ideas on this?

Are you sure that you have the DX versions of the plug-ins installed, and not just the VST versions?

If you are sure the DX versions are installed, you could try this while CD Architect is NOT open:

NOTE: You are editing your registry here. Do not delete anything other than the instructions tell you to. Editing the wrong keys can change/break the way that Windows functions.

1) Open RegEdit (Start > Run > type "regedit" > OK
2) Browse to the following location:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Sonic Foundry\CD Architect\5.0

3) In this folder, delete the DXCache key (the whole folder)
4) Close RegEdit, open CD Archtiect

This will force CD Architect to re-scan the system for DirectX plug-ins, and should find your missing plugs.

Thanks! I'll give it a shot . Yup, i ONLY use the DX version of Waves....at least until i can get a sweet Mac !
