CDA5 not importing CDA4 projects correctly

I use CDA4 largely to put live concerts onto CD. This involves splitting the file up, deleting "empty" time, and crossfading it all back together. I also use the volume envelope to lower the applause a few dB. These volume fades, of course, often run across the crossfaded file segments. The problem I'm having is that the overlaid volume envelopes and crossfades don't seem to migrate correctly from CDA4. Is this a bug?

Doug:

CDA4 projects should load correctly. If they are not, then it's a bug.

Were you using build 73?

If not, try build 73, the CDA4 import was improved from older builds.

If so, I'd be interested in seeing your CDA4 project (just the .cdp file), please send it to me (with a note describing the problem) at cdarchbeta@sonicfoundry.com

Thanks.

Yes, I'm using build 73. I will email you the .cdp as you suggest. Thanks.

I just bought the final version and it resolves the import issue by loading the problem crossfades onto two tracks. So it looks like we're OK. Thanks.

Good to hear. The cdarchbeta email is no longer functional, in any case.
