CDA5 wanted - Plugin Management (favorites)

Geoff_Wood wrote on 10/23/2002, 7:41 PM
I can't imagine using most of my plugins in this app - really just 'mastering-orientated' plug are wanted. So a Favorites folder, which comes up as the default open folder, would be greatly appreciated.

PS Build 59 - my 7 PlexWriters now pop up instantly (no 5 minute wait). Taa.

Geoff:

You can already do that, complete with FX chains and all their settings.

Build an FX chain, bring up the Plug-in Chooser, hit "Save As" and give it a name. Now, it will always be available under the "FX Packages" folder.

P.S. If you run multiple instances of CD Architect 5, how many of your PlexWriters can you keep busy before your system is I/O- or CPU-bound?

Haven't tried, but will and will report back.

Under Padus DJ (compatible CD images please !) my scsi chain seems to max out with 7 drives at 8x speed . I would guess with CDA5 the CPU load may become a factor, esp with plugins running...

And I would still rather have a directly configurable DX 'favorites' management, just like SF6, and while we're at it, how about it in V4 too ?!!

Geoff - you can do what you're talking about in Vegas 3.
