Set the first one, copy it. Then select the rest and paste event attributes.

'Course, that only works if you want *ALL* the attributes from the first clip assigned to the rest.

Would be really nice if a popup menu appeared with a list of checkboxes for all the different attributes so that we could pick and choose *WHICH* things got pasted. Maybe all we want to paste is the resample setting. Or maybe we want to paste everything except pan/crop.

Select the clips you want to change > Right Clic > Switch > Disable resample

That option is WELL overdue Chienworks. I moved to Vegas from MSP about 5yrs back, and MSP had had that for years previous. With what's happening with V11 though, I doubt it'll get added - maybe not even in V12 when it arises.

I wrote a script to do this. SetResample.zip

hey works great, thanks

buy the way, do you know...I AM disabling resampling on all my video - but it is not regular practice to disable it titles and images too?

if i run this on "all events" it does not do images and titles?

what about QuickTime screen capture movies in the timeline?

"if i run this on "all events" it does not do images and titles?Don't understand this - this script should set resample properties for all video events. I just tested it, and it worked fine on my computer. If you don't want images and titles changed, then select only the events you want changed and click "Selected Video Events"

"what about QuickTime screen capture movies in the timeline?"

Again, it should set "All Video Events" or "Selected Video Events" depending upon the option selected.

no it works fine, my question had weird wording. just clarifying if it ran on images, generated media too. i now see it does.

i guess I was wondering if the resample setting itself even mattered on images, generated media or has no effect at render time either way (whereas using resample or not on video has a clear purpose)

thanks

I can't see how it would affect still images in any way. When previewing or rendering Vegas will generate the frame as necessary from that still for the current frame it's producing. There isn't any possibility of a frame mismatch. Seems like generated media should be the same.
