Change Track Event Color

I like the Ctrl+Shift+W option of not displaying waveforms and thumbnails, however I don't really care for the default white track event color. I looked through all the preferences and didn't see a way to change the color for events on the timeline from white to something else when thumbnails are not displayed. Does anyone know if it is possible to change the color of events?

Well, if you ungroup the audio and video then shift the audio a very tiny amount to the left or right, they'll both turn pink. That's about all i can think of though.

Just curious, but may i ask why you prefer to have the thumbnails and waveforms turned off? It seems to me like that would be a very cumbersome way to edit. I like seeing that there as it's very helpful for finding things and knowing where i am.

Colour me Curios too, Kelly? However, I DO think the user colour changes are a fine idea http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/support/productsuggestion.aspas a Product Suggestion.[/link]

It is definitely easier with thumbnails but I like turning them off sometimes. When you are editing and the playhead reaches the right visible edge it flips over to a new set of thumbnails. When it has to look ahead and build those new thumbnails there is a processor hit and usually the frame rate drops, especially when editing HDV stuff. When the thumbnails are turned off it handles this without a framerate loss. I would just like the option of having the events the same color as other editing apps. I realize it is picky - but I just don't like the white.

Ah, well, if you're worried about the processor hit when scrolling more than seeing what's in the timeline events, do what i do ... zoom out when previewing. Then the screen doesn't have to scroll.
