Change window layout for shorts/reels?

When working on 9:16 videos, is there a way to make the preview window extend the height of the screen and then shorten the timeline area so it stops at the edge of the preview window? I know I can undock the preview window and make it bigger, but it covers the timeline down below. I don't see a way to undock or shorten the timeline unless I've missed it?

Make the main window smaller (less wide) and then place the preview beside the main window.

You mean the entire program window I presume? I had not thought about doing that, I suppose that could work. I wonder if that layout is saveable.. I am surprised the timeline window is not resizable where everything could fit within the application.

Yes, I mean the entire program window. the timeline will always fill the entire width of the main program window.

What @jetdv suggested is the best way, as right now, the timeline will always expand to whole application.
