changin text

i am new to this program.....
i put a text box in the film strip and i cannot edit the text. i have looked on the help button and it says to click the fx button when i do nothing happens

what am i supposed to do?

Select the Text with your mouse and just type over it. Or put your cursor by the first letter and hit delete to get rid of the text.

Then just type.

If you look at the text box, on the timeline, you'll see 3 buttons on the right side of the box. Click on the top one and that should open up the original window.
