Changing a chroma keyed's color

I have some text that is chroma keyed and I want to use color wheel to change it's color. When I put the secondary color corrector after the chroma key and try to change the color, the entire graphic (including the green background) changes color. I would understand if the color corrector were first but it is not. Shouldn't it change the color of the keyed object ONLY?

Use the mask function of the chromakey tool, you'll see exactly what is being keyed, and therefore what is being corrected. If you want to change ghe color of the text, why are you using the chromakey tool at all? You should just be using secondary C/C

Using the Chroma key tool because the AVI swf emported file is green screened (the only way I could get Vegas to import a dynamic flash file that was created in wildeffects)
