changing event length

I am new to M.S., have been using Pinnacle.

I have a movie with a series of still images and fades. If I need to change the time length of several events, is there a way to make the change together, or do I have to change the each events length seperately?

Go to options>Preferences>editing>new still length and set the length at what ever you want. All still events added will be that new length.

Thanks, so there's not a way to lengthen a series of events already in the timeline?

Select all the events that you want to change, press G to group them. Hold the Ctrl key down and drag the right edge of the last event farther down the timeline. This stretches them all out proportionally. You can also drag to the left to shorten them all.
