Changing the Fade Offset Color

Hi again,

Anyone know how to change the color of a Fade offset of a clip? (At the top edge of the clip where you can drag the fade.) The color defaults to black, and I tried Fade Colors in the track right-click menu for both Top and Bottom with no effect

Go to Options>Prefs>Video and in there, you can change the default colors for fades

Nope..I still get black.

I created a new track, dumped a clip, and moved the fader and when played I get a black fade in.

If you right-click on the track bar at the left, you can insert a fade To Color envelope. Right-click again and you can set the Fade Colors for Top and Bottom. The default envelope height is the centre of the video event. If you pull it up you fade to the Top colour, down fades to the Bottom colour.
