Changing the length of multiple still images

I am a new Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinium user, and I have a question I am hoping someone can help me with. I know that if I insert new still images into my movie, I can set the still image length in the Preferences menu beforehand. I also know that I can set the cut-to-overlap conversion (crossfade).

My question is: How can I change these two parameters to multiple images *after* they are already inserted into the movie? I know that I can individually drag the ends of each image to change its length or transition, but how can I do this for an entire set at once?

Thank you very much for your assistance.

Click the first photo, shift, then the last photo of the sequence you want to change. Press G to group them together. Hold down the Ctrl key and place the cursor at the end of the last photo. Now expand or reduce the series to the length you want. You will see it go into ripple mode, with a jagged line through the whole set. You have to keep pressing the Ctrl key while stretching.

You might want to ask these questions in the Vegas Movie Studio forum instead of the Vegas Pro forum since that is what you're using. An easy way in Vegas Pro is via scripting but scripts are supported in Movie Studio.
