Changing volumes

I have a video I'm creating where the opening credits start off with an audio track at full volume. After about 20 seconds of this I want to be able to keep the track playing but dramatically lower it so the voices of people talking from the video can also play through clearly. Can you achieve this in Vegas?

Yes, very easily. Select the track, then go to Insert / Volume envelope (or press V). A blue line will appear through the middle of the track. Double-click on the line to add control points and move these points up or down (left & right too, if you wish) to vary the volume throughout the track.
